Post-doctoral Fellow

We seek a postdoctoral fellow to conduct interdisciplinary research at the intersection of health psychology, social epidemiology, and biology. The fellow will be working under the supervision of Dr. Samuele Zilioli. Dr. Zilioli is the director of the Biopsychosocial Health Lab. The fellow will have the opportunity to analyze and publish data from several existing datasets examining the psychological and biobehavioral mechanisms linking social phenomena to physical health. The fellow will have the opportunity to gain a strong foundation in biobehavioral health research. Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in Psychology, Epidemiology, Neuroscience, or related fields. We are particularly interested in candidates with a record of published research, strong statistical and writing skills, experience working with large datasets, and the ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team.

Phlebotomist

Requirements/duties:

1. Qualified applicants are registered nurses, RN student or grad student, licensed provider, or have a certification in phlebotomy

2. Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher

3. Able to commit to working early mornings (approximately 7:00 am – 10:00 am) on Mondays through Friday (10 hours/week), with availability through next year (2022-23). Must have availability at least 3 out of those 5 days.

4. Must have a car or regular access to a car

Volunteer Research Assistant

Gain valuable research experience in Dr. Samuele Zilioli’s Biopsychosocial Health Lab! Research assistant positions are open in Dr. Sam Zilioli’s lab for Winter 2022:

We are looking for RAs that wish to gain experience recruiting, consenting, and guiding participants in our study through various surveys. Additional opportunities include gaining experience with data entry, and processing activity and biological data.

This position offers excellent research training for anyone interested in attending graduate school, particularly in social psychology, counseling psychology, health psychology, or clinical psychology. Research assistants will also have the opportunity to work directly with Dr. Zilioli and other undergraduate RA’s to learn more about the field and how psychological research is conducted.

Requirements/duties of applicants:

1. Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher.

2. Ideally, applicants will have Freshman, Sophomore or Junior standing, but Seniors will also be considered. Applicants will ideally be psychology majors, and/or have an interest in the psychology of families, adolescence, social psychology, clinical psychology, and/or health psychology.

3. Previous lab experience is preferred but not required. Strong attention to detail and conscientiousness are required.

4. Must be able to commit to volunteering at least 6 hours/week in the lab. Preference will be given to applicants able to make at least a two semester commitment (i.e., through summer) to this position.
